Ingredients for Mocha Avocado Chocolate Pudding

If you haven’t tried making an avocado dessert before, it’s time to give it a shot. I know at first it may sound a little weird, but hear me out. Avocado is packed with healthy fats and its naturally creamy texture lends itself so well to making rich, luxurious desserts. You can’t taste it, but you will notice just how much of a difference it makes when you use it in this smooth, thick and creamy avocado pudding.

And by the way, avocados are a great source of many nutrients including vitamin K and folate, plus they’re loaded with potassium, fiber and heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids. So basically what I’m telling you is that you should be making more avocado desserts!

In addition to your avocado, you only need a handful of ingredients to whip up a batch of vegan chocolate avocado pudding!

  • Avocados. Obviously! You’ll want two ripe avocados.
  • Cocoa powder. We’re gonna be pretty generous with this to give us a super rich, chocolatey flavor.
  • Brewed coffee. Feel free to use decaf, or simply sub in more non-dairy milk if you prefer not to make it mocha flavored.
  • Sweetener. I’m using maple syrup to sweeten this avocado chocolate pudding, but know that you could also use agave, stevia, another liquid sweetened of your choice. I wouldn’t use a granulated sugar as it won’t blend in as smoothly.
  • Non-dairy milk. Any variety works!
  • Vanilla extract. A touch of vanilla added to any chocolate dessert actually helps highlight the richness of the chocolate.
  • Salt. Just a pinch will elevate all the flavors and balance out the sweetness.
