Three of your favorite foods come together to make this creamy, dreamy Mocha Avocado Chocolate Pudding! A healthy dessert that’s sure to satisfy cravings.
Can I be honest with you guys? I’m not much of a coffee drinker. Sure, I have my phases or those warm afternoons when I just need an iced latte with almond milk, but that’s pretty rare. I’m definitely a tea girl through and through.
I was never into all the fancy drinks at Starbucks (except the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino, hold the whip). Heck, I literally still don’t know how to properly order coffee. I just say, “can I have a cup of hot coffee but can you leave some room at the top for me to add almond milk?”
I know those baristas hate me. Sorry not sorry – it’s not my fault coffee is so complicated.
All that said, I’m here today with a mocha dessert. Why? Because I know people love their coffee. And their chocolate, and their healthy fats. Why not put those all in one dessert?
If you haven’t made avocado chocolate pudding yet, first of all – are you living under a rock? (Jk.) Second, I urge you to go find a ripe avocado and make it ASAP. The avocado provides a neutral yet super duper creamy base, which is perfect for everything you’re going to add like cocoa powder, a little sugar and some almond milk.
Can we talk about avocados real quick? I know I always gush about how nutritionally beneficial oats are (and versatile, since I use them in almost every recipe), but I don’t think I’ve ever applauded avocado as much as it deserves. Avocados are a great source of many nutrients including vitamin K and folate, plus they’re loaded with potassium, fiber and heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids.
Let’s give the humble ‘cado a round of applause, shall we. 👏🏼
All there is to this healthy mocha avocado chocolate pudding is blending up some ripe avocado with brewed coffee, cocoa powder, sugar (your choice for the type!) and a couple other basic ingredients. Then grab a spoon and DIG IN to get your caffeine fix and chocolate fix in the same bite.
This mocha avocado chocolate pudding is a great dessert for when you want something indulgent, but still want to still to your plant-based whole foods! It’s great to share with a friend or store in the fridge to snack on when the chocolate cravings hit.
